Job Title: Design EngineerJob Description

In this role, you will design, analyze, and conduct system trade studies to determine mechanism architecture for multi-satellite launch configurations focusing on system simplicity, mass efficiency, launch vehicle accommodation efficiency, and production cost. You will execute the design and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles while adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements. Additionally, you will develop mechanisms and component technology, define testing requirements, materials, processes, and tools, and define mechanical interfaces with other subsystems. You will also develop and maintain mechanical design documentation at the system and equipment level, including mechanical requirement documents, interface control drawings, test procedures, tooling, and manufacturing drawings. Preparing and presenting necessary information for thorough design and readiness reviews with management and peers will be essential. You will troubleshoot and investigate anomalies and failures, perform root-cause analysis, and provide resolutions. Effective communication with manufacturing/production teams to ensure successful information transfer and efficient process documentation is required. Lastly, you will evaluate and champion new technology and methods.
