Specialist, Senior Technical I&E Training - 000F4Y Description Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership’s assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity. The Senior Technical I&E Training Specialist will develop, provide, and continuously improve training for our Operations and Maintenance Plant/Pipeline/Storage customers, as well as other groups. The Specialist will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in plant/pipeline maintenance and/or rotating equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Provide instruction for new and existing Operations/Maintenance personnel in O&M class, ROW College, and many other specialty classes (maintenance, rotating equipment, and other equipment) that help improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of Enterprises Operations. + Be a positive change agent that is passionately committed to safe and efficient operations and our company policies. + Provide training in classroom setting as well as in field via tours, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises. + Develop written and electronic testing material to ensure effectiveness of training provided. + Research independently, collaborate with others, and/or attend training to increase knowledge in order to develop new and improved training material (presentations/manuals/etc.). + Keep abreast of changes in our industry and update training material as policies and regulations/codes change and/or new technology is adopted. + Take feedback from participants and continuously improve presentation material/delivery. + Be subject matter expert of select Enterprise business sectors and willing/able to field questions and provide assistance to others in company as needed. Also, be willing to develop and diversify in other non-strength areas, as needed. + Ensure records of training provided are accurate in LMS database. + Foster relationships with various Operations/Maintenance groups to better understand and meet their needs. + Share knowledge of and keep abreast of changes to the location of information systems, documents, forms, manuals on our company intranet or LAN. + Take lead and support roles in special projects/initiatives, committees, and key plant/pipeline start-ups and/or investigations as needed. + Be able to backfill/support other Training Specialists that focus primarily on regulatory and safety training, if needed. + Assist Manager and other Training Specialists with other tasks as required. Qualifications The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: + A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. + Some college, certificate, or a degree is preferred. + Experience and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in maintenance and/or rotating equipment is required. + A minimum of 10 years of Operations and/or Maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry is required. + Midstream experience is preferred. + Previous experience with LMS database is preferred. + Strong communication and presentation skills are required. + Must have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex topics to others in a variety of ways. + Must have a passion for training others and the ability to make training interesting, relevant and inspiring. + Must have knowledge of midstream operations and/or maintenance, construction, the facilities/equipment, and regulations that govern them (OSHA, DOT, etc.). + Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a businesslike and professional manner is required. + Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, etc.) and the ability/willingness to learn new programs quickly are required. + Must be skilled at reading, interpreting, and teaching others on various facility drawings and/or pipeline maps. + Must have strong coordination and organizational skills. + Must be resourceful and have ability to work with all levels of the organization. + Must have the ability to demonstrate conscientiousness, dependability, punctuality and commitment to the role, team and company. + Ability and willingness to arrive early and/or stay late periodically is required. + Ability to work in a fast paced environment, make recommendations and find cost effective solutions to meet business demands is required. + Ability to travel up to 35% of time; some travel on weekends and after hours Primary Location : USA-Texas-Midland : Shift : Day Job Travel : Yes, 25 % of the Time Job Posting : Unposting Date : Ongoing Organization : E H S & T Job : Environmental, Health, Safety & Training Job Level : Individual Contributor Req ID: 000F4Y
