Our Savannah Operations is a heavy industrial Forging manufacturing plant located in Midway, Georgia, employs approximately 150 people and is poised for growth!
We are looking for a process improvement and goal-oriented Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance department.

Essential Functions:
The Facilities Engineering and Maintenance Manager position is responsible for the direction and coordination of repair, preventive & corrective maintenance, and installation activities within the assigned operations. This position is also responsible for managing all maintenance technicians and facility engineering support within the department. The position is a department manager role and is also expected to work with production to ensure equipment OEE targets, where present, are met.
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage an effective team, includes planning, motivates, coaches, and trains to acquire maximum quality, productivity, morale, and cooperation, approving time and attendance, prioritizing and making work assignments.
Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of electric power, chill water system, and compressed air system for required operations.
Reviews maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operation, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with management.
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations, including Capex
Manages the sites Capex budget and procedures.
Reviews work procedures for safety regulations and concerns.
Directs training of department employees to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
Confers with management, engineering, quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
Communicates safety and management issues to the department.
Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 10 years’ experience as manager in a manufacturing environment
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
