3rd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Summary

  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are being followed and enforcing quality standards.

  • Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes.

  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

  • Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling, and discipling employees.

  • Plans, monitors, and appraises job results.

  • Conducts training in department.

  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to federal and state legal regulations.

  • Completes operations by developing schedules, assigning, and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems.

  • Control expenses by gathering and submitting budget information, monitoring variances, and implementing corrective actions.

  • Work with outside vendors, enforcing quality standards and schedule attainment.

Main Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Ensure SOPs are followed and enforcing quality standards.

  • Maintain payroll records through ADP for department.

  • Complete labor schedule and prioritize items for weekly schedule.

  • Participate in safety meetings and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Works closely with Materials Supervisor to ensure availability of packaging materials.

  • Works with the Production Management Team.

Candidate Profile: Qualifications / Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Environment, minimum 3 years’ experience.

  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.

  • Bachelors degree preferred but NOT required.

  • Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively prepare and deliver reports and presentations.

  • Ability to lead and function in a team environment, while effectively communicating across various levels of the organization.

  • Ability to travel in support of job function (plants, customers, suppliers, etc.)
