We are currently hiring a Dental Receptionist based in Milford MA.  The Dental Receptionist is responsible for patient registration, completion of subsidized health insurance applications, insurance verification, assessing patient eligibility for state and federal health insurance entitlements and educating patients pertaining to related entitlements/programs, data entry and clerical duties.

Job Summary:

  • Manage daily schedules, ensuring appointments are confirmed, correctly timed, and appropriate for procedures.

  • Track no-shows, fill empty slots, and coordinate emergency or walk-in visits.

  • Verify insurance, direct patients with invalid coverage, collect co-pays, and ensure correct insurance is linked to appointments.

  • Maintain accurate financial records, process receipts, and handle transaction documentation.

  • Verify patient identity, insurance, and complete necessary forms (e.g., medical history, consent, HIPAA).

  • Greet patients, answer questions, and handle calls courteously.

  • Manage encounter forms, reporting daily and monthly results.

  • Track lab cases and schedule accordingly, maintaining provider-specific reports.

  • Transition patients from the waiting list to active status.

    Job Requirements:

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese.

  • Substitutions Allowed: Bilingual language fluency may be substituted with other language as needed by Health Center.

  • Strong computer skills including typing, familiarity with Microsoft Office

  • Our health center requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID19 and Flu.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or certification within a healthcare-related discipline (Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Billing/Coding, Medical Office Administration, etc).

  • Experience with health insurance entitlement programs, benefits/restrictions, and eligibility requirements.
