Job Description: Position Title: Category Specialist - Modular Location: Redmond/Moses Lake, WA Reporting to: Sr. Category Manager On-Site/Hybrid/Remote:Hybrid/Remote Travel Required: 25 - 40% Reporting to the Sr. Category Manager, this position is crucial in executing our strategies for sourcing direct parts in the Modular category, which includes steel, aluminum, fabrications, castings, and forgings on a global scale. Leveraging Terex's global reach, the role ensures the company achieves optimal value in cost, quality, delivery, reliability, service, and support both regionally and globally. This position also involves coordinating cross-functional relationships, including engineering, materials management, local purchasing, operations, finance, and aftermarket. Main Duties and Responsibilities Developing and implementing category strategies for steel, aluminum, fabrications, castings, and forgings Formulating policies to enhance supply chain efficiency while ensuring safety, quality, and delivery continuity Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to maintain a resilient and cost-effective supply chain Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to identify the best fit suppliers for modular components and systems Implementing strategies to improve manufacturing pipeline visibility, ensuring a continuous supply to Terex manufacturing facilities Managing relationships with key suppliers and negotiating company-wide contracts Developing global pricing structures, including material indexing mechanisms to maintain cost control Acting as the global relationship owner between Terex and global suppliers Creating sourcing plans for footprint moves, new product launches, and engineering changes to ensure timely material and production flow transitions Evaluating risks within the category and executing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans Leveraging global supply base potential, including R&D and test capabilities, to enhance Terex's market competitiveness Driving continuous improvement and business simplification efforts for Terex's long-term success Ensuring compliance with company policy, operating procedures, accepted practices, and applicable laws Required Qualifications Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in supply chain management or manufacturing Bachelor's degree with a focus on procurement, supply chain, engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Proven record of strong negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment with a bias towards action and execution Fluent in English (written and spoken) Must be willing and able to travel (travel is estimated at 25%, rising to 40% during periods of supplier assessment and selection) Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work in Redmond or Moses Lake, WA (can work hybrid schedule) Knowledge of steel, aluminum, fabrications, castings, and forgings Experience working with a global supply base in the manufacturing industry Strong procurement and strategic sourcing background with a focus on direct materials Understanding of Make versus Buy Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work with minimal guidance Excellent project management skills and experience in working with global, cross-functional teams Proven supplier management and negotiation skills, able to achieve outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all involved parties Technical proficiency and ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and applications Strong problem-solving aptitude and excellent
