Terex Corporation Supplier Quality Engineer in Mill Creek, Washington

Job Description: Position Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Location: Bothell/Rem Reporting to: Manager, Supplier Quality Main Duties and Responsibilities Compile and analyze quality data related to purchased component non-conformances Update supplier quality performance metrics and scorecards each month, distribute to team members across Genie Lead cross-functional teams and activities focused on analyzing purchased component non-conformances Work closely with the supply chain to execute the Terex Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) using project management and collaboration skills Perform detailed drawing and engineering specification reviews looking for accuracy and/or design-for-manufacturability risks; initiate and recommend engineering changes, as necessary Coach suppliers using effective problem-solving techniques (8D, 5 Why's, fishbone) to ensure root causes are accurately identified and effective preventive measures are implemented Evaluate potential new component suppliers in accordance with the Terex Quality Site Assessment process, identify weaknesses and create action plans to address gaps in a timely manner Travel up to 30% (domestic and international) to perform supplier site assessments, level 5 PPAPs, and problem-solving workshops Generate detailed trip reports and distribute those reports to stakeholders in a timely manner Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field 5+ years' experience Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills Ability to work effectively and independently, with little or no direct supervision at times A passion for product safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications Experience or interested in learning the tools of the quality assurance field Knowledge or experience working with quality management systems, such as ISO9001 or TS16949 Prior experience implementing or using APQP process Knowledge or experience working in a lean manufacturing environment An interest in or experience working with electronic assemblies Understands Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); able to read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D models The compensation range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 salary.
