BrightStar Care Caregivers for Short Shifts - SF, Marin, Peninsula and East Bay in Mill Valley, California

BrightStar Care of San Francisco & Marin is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or those in need of personal care. Your role will involve promoting independent lifestyle, providing direct support, and ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients. Schedule: * Flexible Schedules - Mornings, Afternoons and Weekdays and Weekends Job Details: * Provide compassionate and personalized care to elderly individuals . * Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep and medication reminders. * Engage clients in meaningful activities and cognitive stimulation exercises. * Monitor and document changes in clients' condition and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members. * Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients, ensuring their dignity and respect at all times. * Support clients in maintaining a clean and organized living environment * Transport clients to appointments or outings as needed. Skills: * Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as transferring clients from bed to wheelchair. * Handling emergencies and unexpected situations calmly and effectively. * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Requirements: * Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiver experience * Valid Driver's License and reliable automobile with proof of insurance * CPR Certification * Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray and cleared physical exam within the past 6 months * Must pass Criminal Background and Drug test * Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
