Description

Georgia Military is looking for a Full-Time HVAC Technician. This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units in all campus buildings. Assists with other general maintenance as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Corrective and preventative maintenance on all types of HVAC equipment/systems (including refrigeration). Troubleshooting, piece/part and/or complete unit replacement as required to restore systems. Duties include the actual maintenance and the related administrative duties to maintain Freon logs, preventative maintenance databases, and inventory records; using web-based HVAC control systems, electronic building diagrams/prints, and an automated work order system.

  • Other general maintenance to include basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, masonry, and painting as necessary.

  • Other duties as assigned to include assisting with set-up, break down and cleanup of campus events.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED, State of Georgia//EPA Freon Certification

  • 5 yrs. maintenance and operating experience with a variety of HVAC systems

  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and/or replace residential and commercial HVAC systems using detailed schematics, web-based control systems, and electronic blueprints.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft products including Outlook and Excel.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Vocational certificate in HVAC maintenance and repairs.

  • 8 yrs. maintenance and operating experience with a variety of HVAC systems.

  • Experience adjusting/programing web-based HVAC control systems.

  • Experience maintaining/updating web-based work order systems and electronic blueprint databases.
