Discover Impactful Work:

Under the direction of the Deign Team Lead of Drafting and Documentation, the position will create and revise simple to complex assembly drawings for new bioprocess container using AutoCAD. This individual may also be asked to check peer drafter's designs. Drafter will also be required to run costing for updated/created designs. Assist in training of BPC Designers. Work on projects as assigned by manager.

Day-to-day Workload:

  • Use AutoCAD Mechanical in creating product drawings using predesigned blocks or manually creating geometry as the design dictates while following bioprocess container design guidelines.

  • Navigate through PDM Enterprise (electronic file management system) to check drawings in and out maintaining accurate drawing versions and histories. Able to search to find designs as needed.

  • Proactively participate in the company's continuous improvement programs taking the lead on assigned projects.

  • Effectively communicate with team members, project managers and engineers.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of drafting experience required; OR Associate degree, Technical Drafting.

Experience

  • Competence with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks applications.

  • Competence in Microsoft and other office application software.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to build new designs and modify drawings based on daily expectations.

  • Strong ability to work in a team environment, collaborate with colleagues and share workload as needed to provide quality customer support

  • Attention to detail.

  • Coordinate priorities to meet customer expectations.

  • Support 24hr/7day a week global operation.
