Job Description

*Summary: *

Seeking an Electronics/Burn-in Technician position to support our burn-in product, engineering efforts in areas of Hardware troubleshooting integrated circuits debug, minor rework and assembly including soldering, uploading/downloading parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities ( other duties may be assigned):

  • Set up and perform bench test loaded burn-in board and record voltage, current reading. This includes reading schematics, burn-in diagram and other technical documents, soldering, testing with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronics equipment.

  • Generates burn-in reports and schedule.

  • Maintain shop facilities including organizing tools and supplies, managing inventory of burn-in boards, maintainingequipment and suggesting improvements.

  • Proficient in soldering is a must.

  • Working with burn-in Engineer, Supervisor in making decisions in accordance with regulations and departmental policies and procedures; establishes and maintains satisfactory working relationships with departmental personnel and internal customers.

  • Perform burn-in oven set up including setting up power supplies and loading burn-in boards into the oven.

  • Perform burn-in oven maintenance and burn-in boards repair if needed.

  • Set up and perform board continuity testing. Writing a test program for continuity test.

  • Supporting burn-in preparation team in board configuration and uploading/downloading parts.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates Degree or High School Diploma

  • 4-5 years of related work experience/training preferred

  • Experience using shop equipment and tools, such as signal generators, digital multimeters, power tools, and oscilloscopes.

  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and Soldering.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Requires considerable knowledge of modern office methods and procedures; modern business English, spelling and arithmetic; the operations of common office machines and electronic equipment.

  • Requires considerable ability to: use good judgment in making routine decisions in accordance with existing regulations and departmental policies and procedures; establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with departmental personnel and internal customers.

  • Knowledge of electrical wiring.

  • Ability to install equipment.

Computer Skills:

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to read burn-in diagram and electronic schematics.

  • MS Office

Physical Demands:

  • Some lifting of up to 25lbs.

  • Must be able to lift or move 5-10 lbs. frequently.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Works in an ESD Controlled environment.

  • Works in hot oven environmentperiodically during the day.

Salary Range:

$41,800.00-$55,880.000
