Job Summary

Reporting to the Business Affairs Director for Finance & Administrative Affairs ( FAA ), and working with very limited supervision, this position reviews, approves, and advises on a variety of complex financial transactions – focused on procurement and related financial activities for all FAA departments in addition to budget and financial management for some FAA departments.

The position serves as the primary contact and coordinator for Finance and Administrative Affairs procurement activities, ensuring sound financial management through timely and accurate completion of procurement processes, development, implementation, and improvement of divisional procurement practices and documentation, and complex reports and statements.

This position implements campus standard processes within FAA and develops internal processes to best align compliance, efficiency and professional support of FAA departments. This position collaborates with central business office and FAA Finance & Operations colleagues to carry out complex transactions, resolve issues, and provide related training and support to FAA staff and leadership.

This position has authority to make process changes and take specific actions related to the scope of responsibility. This position is expected to use judgement and discretion about process steps, related communication, and escalation

Main Duties Include:

50%- Facilitate FAA procurement activity, serving as the primary resource and first point of contact for complex procurement questions and processes. Implement and manage procurement related processes to maximize efficiency and compliance.

50%- Direct and support departments through complex budget development activities and decision making and provide fiscal reporting and control to support departmental and division-wide fiscal strategies and operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year of professional experience in finance-related position

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with financial processes and/or systems

  • Professional and effective written and oral communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, finance, or related field

  • Professional work experience in higher education

  • 2 years of direct experience in an accounting/budgeting role with demonstrated ability in accounting and financial analysis

    Target Salary Range $70,000-$80,000 (Final offer based on experience related to the position.)
