JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: The Department of Dermatology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring Dermatologic intervention in outpatient environment located in New Berlin, WI at Mooreland Reserve Clinic. The Department of Dermatology offers a broad range of clinical services in the diagnosis and management of skin diseases. The faculty have expertise in immune mediated and blistering skin diseases, psoriasis, eczema, drug reactions, and skin cancer. Standard interventions include medical therapy, dermatologic surgery, phototherapy, and laser procedures. The Dermatological Surgery Unit specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and the treatment of extensive and/or difficult to manage skin cancers. Treatment is approached in an interdisciplinary manner, integrating the management of complex cases with other surgical subspecialties including the division of Oculoplastic Surgery, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Department of Otolaryngology, and Radiation Oncology This APP will mainly be the practicing in general dermatology or other specific dermatology clinics. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. The Ideal Candidate will be an independent and experienced Dermatology APP who has excellent attention to detail and is a team player who has a strong interest in building an independent clinic as a provider within a thriving and very collaborative academic practice at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). In this role you will: Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring dermatologic intervention in outpatient environment as a member of the Dermatology team. Writes accurate and timely progress notes, procedure notes, and/or admission and transfer orders. Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicates and documents information. Privileged to perform procedures beyond core as identified by the Dermatology services. Facilitates and communicates with patient, family, and staff to promote continuity of care across the continuum of care.
