JOB REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer with a strong background in the design of automation controls using Rockwell Allen-Bradley systems. This is a long term in house position, replacing a recently retired employee. Responsibilities: - Lead the development of electrical control systems for our custom machinery, primarily the using Rockwell Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI interfaces. - Drive the design process from specification through to configuration, including the selection of appropriate enclosures, transformers, fuses, and other control system components. - Spearhead the creation of new control systems, enhancing our product offerings and addressing customer requirements. - Develop custom PLC/HMI software, ensuring systems meet the highest standards of electrical performance and safety. - Provide technical oversight throughout the fabrication and construction phases to resolve any arising issues. - Execute on-floor equipment tests and install/test PLC/HMI software, crafting comprehensive support documentation, including operator and maintenance manuals. Qualifications: - Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology - 3-4 years of experience in the design and testing of custom automation controls, with a focus on Rockwell Allen-Bradley equipment. - experince with AutoCAD Electrical or other similar CAD package, and a solid understanding of wiring design, electric circuits and associated control elements. - Familiarity with industrial standards (CSA, CE, UL, ANSI, NEC, ASME, etc.) and a track record of managing projects successfully within time and budget constraints. - Desirable: Experience with robotics and related automation technologies.
