Job Summary

Under the direction of a Food Service Manager, the Food Service Supervisor is directly responsible for managing the daily operations of multiple units. Units are operated mostly by part-time student staff. All Part Time staff report directly to the Food Service Supervisor. Responsibilities include operating the units’ standards, supervision of training, inventory control, cash control, product quality, ordering, sanitation, staff hiring, and scheduling. This position may oversee: Taco Bell & Burger King (franchises). The supervisor will be directly responsible for communicating with the franchise representatives on standard compliances, the public, special promotional programs, merchandising, and marketing.

Hours of Operation: Typically, the incumbent will be working Monday through Thursday 10am-6:30pm, Friday 8am-4:30pm. Schedule may change based on operational needs. Nights and weekends availability is needed if there are special events or training of personnel. Position also requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Salary: This position comes with a competitive salary and benefit package. The hourly pay is $20.25 per hour to $22.00. Salary above the minimum is possible based upon level of experience and other qualifications and is subject to approval.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Entry level supervisor position

  • 3+ years’ retail food/merchandising experience

    Preferred Qualifications

  • ServSafe Certification

  • Experience leading/supervising kitchen staff in a fast pace environment

  • Cash handling experience in a retail environment

  • Experience in employee scheduling and payroll

  • Experience with staff development and training

  • Experience working in a higher education setting. Further experience working in higher education setting in a retail or similar area is strongly preferred

    Target Salary Range $20.25-$22.00/hour
