What you will do

The Global Product Manager, HVAC Service will drive the transformation of our service portfolio with digitally enabled services that grow and improve profitability of our truck-based service business . They will create a vision/roadmap for these services and drive the development and deployment through our standard global offering development process, the Rapid Closed Loop Process (RCLP).

This person will be responsible for using those tools to drive assigned products across the entire product lifecycle; and will own and deliver annual revenue, market share and profitability targets. The product manager acts as the entrepreneurial business manager with the goal of long term customer satisfaction, competitive advantage, market share and profitability. This leader will regularly interface with other global product management leaders to share best practices and support common global development efforts where needed.

The product manager is accountable for virtually all aspects of the HVAC service offering development without having direct authority over the resources required to deliver the results. This leader will work directly with the business leaders in products, services, finance, sales, operations, communications, and training to deploy all aspects of the defined plan.

How you will do it

  • As the Product Manager of HVAC Service you will lead the definition, development and deployment of HVAC digital and proactive service offerings for the HVAC Services team to contribute to profitable Service Growth globally.

  • You will identify program scope, budget, schedule, resources, and business cases for new digital product offerings development.

  • You will develop and deliver the lifecycle business plan, proactive service plan, commercial go to market model, securing alignment and commitment from all relevant functions including products, sales, marketing, operations, manufacturing, training, communications, finance.

  • You will manage issues, risks and opportunities, assisting team members in removing roadblocks and communication to management about issues that cannot be resolved.

  • You will support field adoption of solutions by supporting the development of training programs, marketing campaigns, and other programmatic tools.

  • You will work under minimal supervision and partner with leaders across global, regional and product functional groups. You will act independently to resolve challenges and to address opportunities related to the portfolio. Is confident at presenting and holding others accountable.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Engineering or other technical degree preferred. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Preferred fifteen (15) years of progressive experience of program or product management and service experience required; preferred experience in the following areas:

  • Ten (10) years experience in the HVAC industry

  • Five (5) years related management experience in field operations and/or product development

  • Experience developing digital and/or services service offering

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification preferred

  • Six Sigma green belt or black belt preferred

  • Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail, collaboration, and Microsoft Office software. Power BI and sharepoint development experience preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.

  • Effective and professional communication and organization skills.

  • Superior negotiation skills.

  • Ability to:

  • Adjust communication style in response to varying situations, groups, and culture, and engage and advise others to ensure the desired outcome

  • Adjust efforts and approaches to meet goals and deadlines

  • Analyze and draw conclusions based on less-than-complete data

  • Enable and support others to make decisions and take reasonable risks

  • Ensure that individuals and team members understand the impact of their contributions

  • Incorporate all necessary company functions into the design and deployment of the programs and new offerings
