Grow your career as GroupEase Specialist within ALG Vacations. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, timely hotel & agent reporting, and assisting in calculating and applying complimentary credits. Our GroupEase program allows travel advisors and direct clients the opportunity to book individual travel reservations within ALGV’s booking platform while earning perks of a traditional contracted group.

Essential Functions:

Customer Service

  • Answer emails (occasionally phone calls) from Travel Agents regarding program guidelines, group code requests/modifications, complimentary rooms/night calculations, and general troubleshooting.

  • Strive to grow agent business by building rapport and providing outstanding customer service.

Hotel Reporting

  • Format, finalize, and report GroupEase manifests set to travel with participating hotels

  • Calculate earned comps/concessions

  • Submit comp adjustments to internal accounting team for processing

  • Monitor Group production and follow-up on underperforming groups

Code Production

  • Build and modify GroupEase promotional codes

  • Troubleshoot code errors and resolve application issues

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of systems such as Microsoft Office and other office procedures and terminology.

  • Experience in Customer Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Experience in Travel background is a plus.

  • Education Degree from a 2 year college or university is preferred.

  • Proficient in both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

  • Strong ability to efficiently navigate through various computer screens and programs.

  • Salesforce experience a plus.

  • The GroupEase Team requires someone that can excel in an environment that is both back stage and front stage and has a passion for a high-level of customer service, ability to multi-task, and staying organized.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and staff to drive results and promote a team-oriented environment.

  • Proficient in both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

  • Strong written and phone skills.

  • Demonstrate commitment to the use of methods and procedures to standardize and streamline operations, identify and implement cost-savings and process improvements.

  • Strong ability to efficiently navigate through various computer screens and programs.

  • Accounting and travel background are a plus.

  • ALGV system knowledge is a plus – VAX VacationAccess and FIT processing knowledge.

The pay range for this position is an hourly rate of $18 to $21. This position is also eligible to earn overtime, shiftdifferentials and premium pay under certain circumstances, or incentive awards. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
