Job Summary The Snowflake Administrator is responsible for managing, monitoring, and ensuring the optimal performance of the Snowflake data platform. Collaborating with the Data Management and Business Intelligence Teams, the Snowflake Administrator will design, implement, and refine Snowflake environments and structures, addressing any issues identified promptly. This position will partner with the Data Development Teams to ensure that efficient data management procedures are embedded in the development and deployment processes. The Snowflake Administrator will also escalate critical issues to the IT leadership team as necessary and ensure that the platform aligns with the company\'s data strategy and goals. Essential Responsibilities Assess the current performance and efficiency of the Snowflake data platform (running system diagnostics). Participate in establishing, monitoring, and reporting on target goals for data management and system performance improvements. Identify optimal approaches for resolving Snowflake platform issues to achieve targets. Work within and beyond data management areas to implement system improvement approaches. Monitor and track ongoing system performance levels. Ensure that optimal system performance is maintained so that the data can effectively support business processes. Proactively and timely resolve or escalate Snowflake platform issues. Work in a collaborative fashion with other Snowflake Administrators, data analysts, and overall IT management team.
