Description We are currently seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the healthcare industry. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and resolving customer inquiries, monitoring accounts, and ensuring accurate customer records.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer applications for credit

• Ensure the maintenance of precise customer credit records

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed

• Handle the administration of claims and billing functions

• Carry out appeals processes where necessary

• Manage accounts receivable and ensure all accounts are up-to-date

• Utilize Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), EHR SYSTEM, and Epaces for various tasks

• Oversee benefit functions within the healthcare industry

• Ensure the application of industry-specific knowledge in managing and resolving customer inquiries. Requirements • Proficiency in Allscripts and Cerner Technologies

• Experience with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and EHR SYSTEM

• Familiarity with Epaces

• Strong skills in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Appeals process

• Understanding of Benefit Functions and Billing Functions

• Experience in Claim Administration

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer applications

• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
