Job Summary: The Seasonal Retail Sales Associate (RSA) is the first point of contact for Museum retail store guests and will be responsible for providing a positive, enjoyable learning experience for all guests. The RSA is an integral member of our Museum team, responsible for day-to-day operations in The Shop.The RSA will be responsible for imparting knowledge about our products/services to guests conducting sales (cash handling), processing merchandise, contributing to a positive/professional team-based work environment and performing various guest-facing activities. Job Responsibilities: Must be able to work 20-24 hours per week on average Requires outstanding hospitality skills with the ability to understand and resolve guest questions or issues Conduct guest transactions and interactions in a professional manner using a point-of-sale system Possess sales skills that will contribute to achieving sales goals Help maintain a neat and clean Shop environment Must be willing to assist or learn all facets of guest service and processing merchandise within our retail shop Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while being fair, honest, creative, and positive No set schedule. Must have the flexibility to work weekends, some evenings and holidays, when needed Manage multiple duties simultaneously and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Education Specifications: High School Diploma or GED Required Experience Requirements: Two years of previous experience in a guest service or retail work environment. Ability to understand and resolve guest questions or issues while keeping the organization\'s goals in mind.
