Join our team as a Sr. Design Engineer, Intake & Exhaust. Job Summary This Sr. Systems Engineer, Design role is responsible for supporting the development of Harley-Davidson\'s iconic sound. The position is responsible for technical design and development of intake and exhaust components. This role works in a matrix organization with other high performing teams in Engineering, Marketing, Product Planning, Styling, Purchasing, and Manufacturing. They will be very hands-on with team members, other System and Platform teams and departments to ensure that projects meet time, quality, cost and weight benchmarks. Job Responsibilities Solve complex problems and provide solutions using both creative processes and analytical methods. Works independently, requiring guidance on only the most complex situations. Deliver optimal designs while adhering to project performance, quality, and cost objectives. Demonstrates in depth conceptual and practical knowledge in engineering tools such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD, Creo + Windchill), predictive analysis, and noise data analysis to demonstrate and communicate robustness of designs. Acts as a resource for design engineer colleagues with less experience. Ability to work independently and perform Design Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (DFMEAs), Design Verification Plan & Reports (DVP&Rs), analyze test results and bring closure to test findings. Responsible for ongoing activities, objectives and may lead projects or steps within a broader project.
