Zoo Maintenance Worker- Assistant Pay Range Hourly - \$17.10 - \$19.05 Department: Milwaukee County Zoo Closing Date: May 16,2024 @ 10.59 pm upon receiving 50 applications. Job Summary: To perform a variety of entry level maintenance tasks. To assist Maintenance Worker, and skilled trades when another person is needed. Job Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Worker, repair and maintain Zoo structures, equipment, enclosures. Help build props inside animal exhibits. Install weather stripping for doors and windows. To caulk windows and buildings for the purpose of energy efficiency. Basic painting of structures and equipment indoors and outside. Assist Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Worker 1, and skilled trades as needed. Assist System control coordinator take meter readings and basic data entry into Cityworks. Perform other duties as assigned including attending meetings and completing assigned training. Minimum Qualifications: Current resident of Wisconsin.
