This is a position with grade 11 This position reports to District Sales Manager - Midwest Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will manage a territory and lead a team of Commercial and Industrial focused sales people to meets its volume growth through excellent external and internal customer relations. The Area Sales Manager is engaged in customer facing implementation of aggressive measures to achieve sales to C&I customers, systems and services in the assigned geography. This person also ensures individual Business Unit sales targets are met or exceeded and that net margin maximizes profits within the geography. The individual participates in C&I planning and ensures that strategies are aligned with the district and regional C&I objectives, in conjunction with talent management and recruitment While this is a full remote position, successful candidates will be located in the Midwest territory (ND, SD, MN, IA). Relocation assistance will be provided. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Building division in the Midwest. You will be mainly accountable for: *Implementation of the regional C&I strategy within the geography *Assess performance with annual performance reviews for all C&I salespeople and create a development plan for all employees in geography including technical and professional training. Coach sales resources to make winning decisions, plan better, and effectively allocate resources based on customer needs and potential for growth. *ASM will be responsible for top local accounts relationship & results, and will be the escalation point on C&I commercial decisions *Collaboration with regional leadership to measure conversions and pipeline, working in tandem in Channel organization. Measure/monitor electrical distributor and customer conversions, pipeline progression and product mix within C&I segment. Qualifications for the role Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or business administration or technical field preferred. Minimum 7 years related experience required. Senior Account Management experience required. Leadership or direct personnel management experience preferred. Understanding of industry-related products and services like power distribution one-line and installation products strongly preferred. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
