Chobani’s Category Development Managers work with category, consumer and shopper insights data to create a clear direction for the category that aligns customer and Chobani strategies. As a key member of the sales team, this role contributes to driving company sales and profits and to gaining advantage over competitors by driving strategic insights and value-added tools/programs to drive increased performance for designated brands at retail.

Responsibilities

Role will be a part of Chobani’s “Away from Home” team playing a key role in developing and cultivating business relationships with Food Service operators, distributors, and national accounts – account coverage subject to change based on business needs Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recognize issues and opportunities for the Food Service channel, using data & insights to capitalize on opportunities to grow the categories Chobani plays in Derive actionable insights from industry publications around the Food Service operator landscape, consumer trends, and flavor/menu innovation Develop a suite of comprehensive, category-centric selling resources for Yogurt, Creamers, and Non-Dairy Milks Handle quarterly Circana SupplyTrack reporting and communicate performance to internal collaborators Contribute to the development & tracking of internal goals that support Chobani’s Annual Operating Plan Leverage data from multiple sources to create content for operator & distributor presentations that include relevant consumer insights, analysis of the competitive landscape and performance gaps, and new item/category selling resources Focus on continuing to improve tools, templates, and processes that enable the team to enhance efficiency in performing their job requirements Provide ongoing trend analysis (business performance and drivers) to seize value-creating opportunities that improve overall category performance or to correct category issues as needed Develop strong working relationships with external Category Manager/Merchants Provide necessary summaries and important trend updates to key internal collaborators Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required 3-5 years consumer packaged goods category management experience Must have previous experience with the Food Service industry & a foundational understanding of operator segments High level of proficiency in working directly with headquarter level customers Strong and confirmed leadership skills Strong cross-functional exposure / experience Highly customer focused with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and dynamic environment Highly organized with the ability to lead multiple projects against deadlines Proficient with reporting systems including Nielsen, Circana Supply Track, Datassential, and IFMA Proficient in Microsoft Office Knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies Willingness to travel
