This position would be based in our Minneapolis, MN or St. Paul, MN office. This group is responsible for providing construction services for municipal streets and utilities, state and county highways, freeways, bridges, parks, trails, and related facilities. This position will include long hours and some weekend work. Looking towards the future? This position has the potential for full-time employment upon graduation. Responsibilities: Works on routine tasks according to specific procedures under close supervision. Assist with road construction inspection work. Assist construction inspection teams with documentation. Assist field crews with survey staking. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Progressing toward a BS in civil engineering/ construction management / related 4-year degree, or a two-year civil engineering technician / related degree or prior experience working on a survey or construction crew. Demonstrates cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team and as well as the ability to work independently. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand / walk for long periods of time, and to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Must be 18 years or older. Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work the entire construction season a plus. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
