Be involved in projects with our award-winning Strategic Growth Team (SGT) - a multi-faceted and industry-best marketing, sales and communications organization in support of our Earth & Environment business across the US. Our team is looking for a dynamic Consultant, Marketing! We will consider candidates in any US city where we have a WSP office. Some cities include and are not limited to Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Houston, TX; Tempe, AZ; Boston, MA; Boise, ID; Irvine, CA and more.
The Consultant, Marketing is an essential member of the team working to support our firm’s continued growth by providing marketing and pursuit services. We are looking for someone that is collaborative, can influence and inspire others, and brings an understanding of pursuit leadership, client engagement, and proposal best practices. The right candidate will be a self-driven, collaborative team player who builds community through positivity. Our ideal candidate will bring experience in the A/E/C industry leading the complete pursuit life cycle with an eye for detail that translates to compliance and compelling communications that bring home the win!
Job Summary
Under limited supervision performs duties to lead all aspects of preparing proposals, qualifications and presentations including coordinating efforts with outside vendors and subcontractors. Assists with managing data in the sales systems, develops and maintains sales collateral and may support regional communications initiatives.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Leads standard proposals/qualifications with limited supervision and supports complex proposals/qualifications with general supervision including scheduling and conducting proposal kickoff meetings, strategy sessions, and color reviews to develop a winning, compliant proposal.
Researches, gathers, edits, and produces proposal materials, including reviews/edits content for clarity, compliance, and key messages.
Coordinates design and production of proposal materials with graphics staff ensuring all proposal materials are effectively communicating the strategic vision identified for a given pursuit.
Develops and maintains proposal, qualification, and sales files, including resumes, project descriptions and sales and business development databases.
Supports client teams in preparing materials for internal and external meetings and participates in client team meetings
May support communications team on regional activities, such as newsletters, project awards, visibility and social media campaigns, conferences and other special communications related projects.
Ensures the various aspects of proposals and other sales and business development materials are compliant, accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
Supports and may lead the presentation phase of pursuits including coordinating graphics and refining key messages.
Works with individual pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies, including providing business intelligence on clients, competitors and WSP.
Organizes and may facilitate sales and business development strategy meetings.
Embraces technology and looks for ways to increase effectiveness of sales and business development activities and client engagement.
May provide oversight of work of other team members.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of applicable of experience.
3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role in proposals and/or pursuits.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in editing, proofing and general sales and business development skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and other software programs.
Strong organizational and coordination skills along with liaison capabilities and knowledge of business development procedures is required.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
Must have knowledge of procedures necessary to manage a standard proposal from onset to conclusion with limited supervision.
Ability to facilitate meetings.
Must possess a strategic mindset.
Preferred Qualifications or “Great to Haves” include
Experience in A/E/C industry.
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
Interest in automation and other emerging technologies.

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $64,000 - $109,780
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
