Target Creative Production Designer; Store Experience Marketing in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The pay range is $54,800.00 - $98,600.00

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. As a Production Designer, you will be responsible for extending design programs on print and digital marketing channels for Target's portfolio of exclusive brands and campaigns, while maintaining consistent brand standards. With high standards of creativity. You will collaborate with creative and marketing teams in executing layout revisions, updating toolkits or style guides as well as creating schematics or mock-ups & presentation decks for partner and/or leadership reviews. You will manage all project assets, oversee retouching and create keyline to final files while working closely with global partners. You will also assist in proofing print-ready mechanical files or web-ready deliverables prior to live dates. You will apply and follow production execution rules to all work, from layouts to final files, including message hierarchy, branding elements, type-setting, photography and illustrations while ensuring quality and accuracy of work are per standards and best practices. Communication skills are needed to ensure all peers and partners are kept informed. You will work closely with other production designers as well independently and be responsible for managing timelines and all project production design details to deliver high-quality results.

About you:

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience

• 2-3+ years of relevant production experience

• Solid use of MAC computer programs like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

• Proven track record of work demonstrating the ability to apply fundamental design skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to extend detailed concepts across multiple formats and apply proportions of scale to each

• Strong success rate of receiving and interpreting design direction from creative partners

• Successfully collaborates and performs duties by solving problems, applying critical thinking, presenting and clearly communicating role and project needs with partners and leaders

• Ability to operate effectively and efficiently, prioritizing, organizing and managing a workload for multiple small projects and work independently

• Stays current on emerging style, graphic and industry trends, innovation, and advancement in the fields of branding, design, as well as tools and technology used to perform role

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
