Salary Range: $56,920 to $66,950

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

JOB SUMMARY

The Data Quality Analyst (Data Process Manager), reporting to the Director of Advancement Systems and Alumni Data, will be responsible for managing the accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement of alumni and donor data. This role is essential to the success of the institution’s comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Data Quality Analyst (Data Process Manager) will oversee the development, enhancement, and execution of data collection processes, ensuring that all systems and methods are optimized to support organizational goals.

Key responsibilities include analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing upgrades to ensure the efficient collection and management of alumni and donor data. The Data Quality Analyst (Data Process Manager) also play a key role in building and leading a team of student workers by recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising them to assist in data acquisition efforts.

This role works closely with the Prospect Development and Strategic Engagement teams to ensure seamless collaboration and data alignment. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential for balancing multiple data initiatives, setting priorities, and meeting both business and technical objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Data Acquisition Process Oversight and Management: Develop and manage efficient systems for the data acquisition process to ensure that accurate, updated, and relevant information on alumni and donors, is maintained and secured within the database. Analyze current data acquisition processes and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in data-quality and integrity.

Audit and Quality Assurance: Design and implement audit reports, error-checking processes, and data validation procedures to maintain data. Collaborate with internal teams to gather, interpret, and refine audit and error reporting requirements, ensuring accurate and efficient data management processes. Contribute to team discussions around project planning, goal setting and best practices

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data acquisition processes and generate audit reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Student Worker Supervision and Development: Hire, lead and mentor student workers, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to foster a productive and accurate data acquisition team. Manage timelines and resources for data acquisition tasks, including the distribution of work, prioritization of projects, and coordination with other teams.

Assists with other projects as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Three years of experience in data management within higher education, nonprofit, or fundraising sectors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with experience managing databases and maintaining data integrity

  • Knowledge of development business processes and database systems

  • Familiarity with Ellucian Banner, Salesforce, or other related CRMs

An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.
