Hours are flexible. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Perform daily office tasks and clerical functions (e.g. scheduling, electronic filing, data entry, summarizing information in MS Word or PowerPoint slides, sending emails on behalf of the dean's office, etc.) Serve as a receptionist in the dean's office- greets, provides directions or information to visitors as needed. Assist and support with virtual event planning and scheduling. Assist with project management Working Conditions: The majority of the work in this position is performed in a general office setting. Pay/Hour: $16.50 Qualifications Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled as a University of Minnesota undergraduate student Work study funding required in fall/spring semesters Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Google Apps Ability to maintain confidentiality Exceptional attention to detail Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently Strong written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to manage several projects at once Timeliness and dependability Strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a professional office setting Project management skills Previous customer service experience Diversity Employment Requirements Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
