Director, Customer Success - Logistics US-MN-Minneapolis Job ID: 2024-8952 Type: Regular # of Openings: 1 Category: Customer Success SPS Commerce, Inc Overview The Director of Customer Success for our 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) customer segment is responsible for driving the success of this growing segment. This role leads a team of delivery and project management leaders to ensure successful new customer onboarding, enable customer expansion, and deliver a world-class customer experience that results in exceptional revenue retention. The Director will drive results by developing highly effective teams that guide, consult, and deliver business value to our 3PL customers. Additionally, this individual will lead strategic, cross-company initiatives to invest in people, processes, and technology that meet evolving customer needs. Day-to-Day Responsibilities As the leader of this critical customer segment, the Director must identify SPS solutions that meet the needs of 3PLs, their customers (suppliers), and the suppliers customers (retailers). The Director will guide a team of seasoned leaders to drive transformational change. To succeed, the Director must influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimal outcomes for customers, their clients, and SPS. This role requires a customer-focused, highly motivated, and results-driven leader who thrives in ambiguity and relentlessly pursues excellence in both customer and employee experiences. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the implementation, expansion, and retention efforts for a high-growth, $10M customer portfolio. * Oversee a high-growth team while driving continuous change management and process efficiency improvements. * Manage through managers and senior-level individual contributors. * Analyze industry and customer trends to improve SPS s go-to-market offerings and drive customer success. * Execute strategic initiatives to improve customer and employee experiences through enhancements in people, process, and technology. * Create and execute strategies to lead cross-functional teams through change, leveraging SPS best practices and developing new approaches to stay ahead of industry trends. * Build strong relationships with C-level executives from enterprise-level customers and serve as the escalation point for executive engagements. * Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Customer Support, and Technology teams. * Foster alignment with key technology partners within the 3PL ecosystem. * Set goals, forecast outcomes, and ensure timely completion of team deliverables. * Recruit, hire, and develop a team with a strong focus on leadership development. Minimum Requirements * Bachelor s degree and 10-12 years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * 8+ years of management experience, including 3+ years leading through people managers. * Background in 3PL, warehouse, or retail logistics. * Proven ability to develop, communicate, and execute strategies. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Demonstrated leadership with a track record of successfully developing others. * Experience working with diverse customer leadership structures and executive levels. * Extensive experience in relationship management.
