Description Youth Services Network (YSN) is a statewide collaborative of organizations committed to ending youth homelessness. The YSN works together to ensure that young people throughout Minnesota receive services and supports that are equitable, sustainable, and transformational. We use our collective power to elevate youth voice, dismantle the root causes of youth homelessness including racism and systemic oppression, and drive change. This position reports to the Advisory Board of the YSN. Position Specifics Hiring Salary Range: $60,840/year (based on a weekly schedule of 26 hours per week) Job Type: Part-Time, Exempt Location: Twin Cities Metro Area Hours/Days: Mon-Fri 9:00-5:00 (some hours outside of this time will be required) Note: This position requires driving. To be able to drive on behalf of The Link/YSN, candidates must have a valid driver's license, be able to successfully clear a criminal and motor vehicle background check, and maintain personal insurance at the levels of $100,000 Bodily Injury/Per Person and $300,000 Bodily Injury/Per Accident. Job offer is contingent on having these requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Internal Responsibilities: Demonstrating and upholding YSN culture and values Cultivate relationships to ensure the YSN is the go-to expert on youth homelessness in MN Center youth voice and engage youth in leadership where possible Facilitate strategic plan process, including planning, implementation, evaluation, communication Coordinate YSN meetings and others as needed Maintain membership agreements Assist with facilitating agency transitions of leadership into the YSN to assure continuity Assure inclusion of statewide partners and their priorities Serve as liaison to members and committees (or otherwise determined YSN infrastructure) Align messaging, and key value add of homeless youth serving agencies Manage budget and financial activity Research and coordinate data to leverage collective influence on key policy and funding decisions Function as convener and facilitator of meetings and special events Manage collaborative YSN sub projects (joint training, shared experiences, best practices) Logistical support coordination of grant requests; managing process and fiscal activities External Responsibilities: Coordinate external strategic meetings Bring forth and center youth voice in community Serve as liaison to YSN external current and future partners, decision makers, funders; including but not limited to county, state, local and philanthropic entities to ensure youth serving agencies gain access to opportunities Work with YSN members to ensure youth ages 10 to 24 are prioritized in funding decisions Plan and implement strategic communications Create an annual balanced budget with a corresponding annual development plan for how to secure funding for this position and YSN activities Convene key partners to respond with effective messaging and strategies that address trends and external pressures, such as COVID-19, social uprisings, and emerging issues Coordinate meetings and sharing of information regarding systems change and policy initiatives (i.e., legislative session, data sharing, policy/systems changes, etc.) Gather and facilitate sharing knowledge from local, state, and federal initiatives to ensure best practices in the state, ranging from funding opportunities, research initiatives to youth work practices Assist with coordination of YSN involvement in strategic projects and initiatives (Voices of Youth, PIT, Demonstration Projections, etc.) GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Preserve the integrity of the YSN Demonstrate commitment to YSN s mission and vision, and values of equity, diversity and inclusion Support the overall growth of the YSN Maintain positive and healthy relation hip with YSN membership and other related parties Create a safe, respectful, and healthy atmosphere and environment where everyone can grow and learn Participate in special projects as necessary Attend all meetings and trainings as required Maintain positive and professional interactions All other duties as assigned
