ENTERPRISE DATA WAREHOUSE (EDW) SOLUTION ARCHITECT
ABOUT YOU:
Are you an experienced data architect ready to design and implement scalable, high-performing data solutions? Jostens is seeking an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Solution Architect to lead the development and optimization of our data warehouse architecture. This role is critical to ensuring our data environment supports business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs while maintaining security, governance, and scalability.
YOU HAVE:
Technical Expertise. Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale EDW solutions using technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
Integration & Modeling Skills. Expertise in ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools (e.g., FiveTran, dbt, Pentaho, Apache Airflow) and strong knowledge of data modeling (star/snowflake schema) and SQL optimization.
Cloud Platform Proficiency. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Snowflake.
Analytical Skills. Proficiency in SQL with the ability to analyze and optimize data processes.
Experience. 8+ years of experience in data warehousing, data architecture, or solution architecture.
Education. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
YOU WILL:
Architect and Design Solutions. Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure data warehouse solutions to meet enterprise data needs.
Collaborate Across Teams. Partner with business units, data scientists, and analysts to gather requirements and ensure the platform supports business intelligence, reporting, and analytics.
Develop Data Pipelines. Design and implement robust ETL/ELT processes, data models, and pipelines for efficient and automated data flow across the organization.
Document and Train. Maintain architecture documentation and provide training and support for development teams as needed.
Ensure Data Integrity. Establish quality assurance protocols to guarantee data accuracy and consistency across all processes.
Implement Governance and Security. Develop data governance frameworks and enforce security standards and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Preferred Advanced Framework Knowledge. Experience with Data Lakes, Data Governance frameworks, and Master Data Management (MDM) concepts.
Preferred Modern Architecture Understanding. Familiarity with data warehouse architectures like dimensional modeling, Data Vault, Lambda, or Kappa.
Preferred Programming Skills. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R.

Our Technology organization combines planning, analysis, and development in combination with both enterprise retail and manufacturing platforms as well as custom development using primarily Java, web services, and web application frameworks like ReactJS/NodeJS. The Technology organization manages priorities through a centralized quarterly planning in close collaborative with business decision-making and strategy, directly supporting leadership in Marketing, Sales, Digital & Operations. Delivery is managed through typically an agile, two-week scrum or Kanban methodology leveraging a suite of Atlassian products. The Technology teams are structured organizationally to focus on key platforms and the business units that they.
