Zayo is seeking a Head of Solutions, Strategic Accounts to join our Solutions team where this position will consult with Digital Infrastructure and Carrier/Wholesale customers to create and design the technology innovations that deliver business outcomes. Working in concert with our Sales and Customer Success teams the Head of Solutions, Strategic Accounts will create solutions that satisfy the most sophisticated customer requirements.We dedicate ourselves to supporting new team members, we value the broad range of experience levels and tenures in our organization and we celebrate learning, knowledge sharing, and mentoring. Zayo's Solutions Team is critical to driving mutual success for Zayo and our customers, and we need a dynamic technical leader as our Head of Solutions, Strategic Accounts for our Digital Infrastructure and Carrier accounts, responsible for half of Zayo's business.Our Head of Solutions, Strategic Accounts will report to the SVP of Solutions and will lead an organization of about 30 technologists, who serve as trusted business partners to global companies to reveal what's possible to make their businesses run better, faster, and smarter. This Head of Solutions, Strategic Accounts and leadership team's primary focus will be enabling your team members to maximize their potential in driving top line revenue in partnership with Sales. In this role, the expectation will be to set the strategy for the organization in collaboration with the leadership team, and the sales, and customer success leadership teams. This position will be responsible for implementing that strategy to drive sales results through proactive engagement with customers and ongoing skills transformation of the team. This position will also be a key part of ongoing transformation of Zayo's business including identifying cross-functional business challenges and working collaboratively to drive improvements in effectiveness and efficiency. The organization will include a team of leaders and individuals who are trusted experts in hybrid networks and Zayo's products. You and the team will consult with customers to collaboratively architect solutions to business challenges that require a breadth of technologies and often include extensive collaboration with third parties. This position will need to have strong leadership and management skills, be highly capable and creative in interactions with customers and drive discovery of desired business outcomes and design of solutions to the technical, operational, financial and human obstacles inhibiting those outcomes. Sales Apply your sophisticated business acumen to thoroughly understand customer business challenges, goals, and environment. Strong knowledge of OSI Layer 1-3 networking. Keep abreast of technology industry trends including the competitive landscape and emerging techn logies in order to best position Zayo in the marketplace. Provide guidance and counsel in customer meetings throughout the sales cycle from discovery through close. Develop strong customer relationships. Qualifications: Minimum of seven (7) years of leadership experience in information technology and/or telecommunications including experience in pre-sales environments. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; or equivalent business or military experience. Exceptional integrity in decisions and day-to-day interactions internally and externally. Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, listening, reasoning and objection handling. Proficient knowledge and use of common business applications including the Google and/or Microsoft suites. Experience developing and delivering technical training programs. Ability to handle ambiguity, and anticipate and quickly react to changes in a fast-paced environment. Technical fluency in networking including optical, routing, switching, software-defined networks, network function virtualization, network security, load balancing and high availability design. A results-oriented mindset.
