Ameriprise Financial has an exciting opportunity for an International Tax Manager! This position would be responsible for international tax compliance and planning, including global tax initiatives such as OECD Pillar 2. Maintain documentation, reports, and related workpapers to support tax provisions, tax filings, and cross-border restructuring projects. Be responsible for designing and leading process improvements within the tax department, which requires in-depth analysis and an understanding of a broad range of complex international tax issues. Key Responsibilities Prepare complex tax filings, tax provision calculations, financial reporting disclosures, and maintain proper workpapers and research files to support tax attributes and technical positions Review certain tax returns, tax provision calculations, and supporting schedules Research cross-border tax and accounting treatments applicable to internal restructuring projects Communicate tax implications of transactions and calculations to tax leadership and business partners across Finance within the US and overseas Support tax-related projects and functions, which will include leveraging tax software to automate and strengthen processes Support the global business by assisting in cross-border legal entity restructuring projects, identifying US tax considerations related to foreign operations, and coordinate external advice received from tax advisors Manage IRS audit inquiries related to all international tax topics Participate in training and developing team members Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant equivalent 4-year degree 5-7 years of relevant experience In addition to the ability of being able to identify problems, a demonstrated ability to apply solutions to them Preferred Qualifications CPA Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting Big 4 international tax experience
