Lecturers are responsible for course content, including the course Canvas site; preparing and presenting course lectures; and preparing homework assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams. Lecturers have full responsibility for assessing student work and the overall administration of the course. TLI occasionally needs lecturers to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. Appointments are part-time and may be limited to one semester. This does not constitute a posting for vacancies but establishes a pool of applicants should an opening occur during the 2024-2025 academic year. Applicants will be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Appointments may be renewable based on need and performance. Qualifications REQUIRED: MS degree in Business, Education, Management of Technology, or related field. Professional experience and/or documented teaching activities must demonstrate a strong potential to enhance the department's mission PREFERRED: Experience with undergraduate or graduate level instruction 5+ years of relevant industry experience About the Department The Technological Leadership Institute (TLI) is an interdisciplinary center at the University of Minnesota established in 1987 by an endowment from the Honeywell Foundation. Pay and Benefits TLI Lecturers are paid per credit hour, which varies based on the instruction subject area: Medical Device Innovation (MDI) & Security Technologies (ST) Lecturers = $3,500 per credit hour Management of Technology (MOT) Lecturers = $5,500 per credit hour Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor-Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications.
