Cox Automotive Manager, Vehicle Operations / Carrier Performance - Ready Logistics in Minneapolis, Minnesota

  • Candidate must reside in the Ready Logistics "North Region" which includes the Northeast and Upper Midwest States. The Regional Performance Manager responsible to manage the portfolio of carriers in their region. Monitor and analyze trends to ensure all needs of their territory are met. They are a subject matter expert and is intimately knowledgeable of our processes, capabilities, carrier needs and expectations. Overseeing carrier recruitment and onboarding process in their region to ensure the needs of existing and new clients are met. The role requires a high level of decision making, strategic planning accuracy and engagement with impact. Key Responsibilities: Serve as an advocate for our network of carriers Optimize regional carrier networks to achieve above average on time delivery and client satisfaction Responsible for carrier retention by working to effectively manage the progress and results of each accounts assigned within their region Monitor and analyze account performance and trends to determine adjustments to carrier expectations/goals/objectives in order to achieve results determines and develops approach to solutions. Work with high profile 'at risk' carriers, determine action plan to turnaround and retain the relationship Responsible for remediating issues and addressing all high-level escalations in a timely and effective manner Have extensive knowledge of Sourcing process to be able to support carriers, internal and external partners through RFPs, TSA renewals and all pre and post award activities Ability to communicate effectively and clearly articulate regional carrier needs to exacutive team Work closely with our matrix partners to ensure seamless connectivity between all functional groups in support of delivery and execution Introduce new and modify existing processes, policies, and procedures that put carriers at the center of daily, strategic engagements Prepare, analyze, and present monthly operational metrics and reporting for business reviews, operational performance reviews, and 'state of the business' discussions Review and approve penalties imposed on carries due to non-compliance with KPIs Advocate continuous improvement and provide feedback and input into processes and systems enhancements to optimize workflows and introduce efficiency Proactively look for opportunities to drive additional savings outside of pre-determined sourcing areas Coach, develop, and empower team members and create a cohesive team environment Lead diverse team - direct, coach, empower and enrich the team; introduce ownership and accountability, and influence extended, matrixed team members Champion our LDM operating model and ensure team engagement and objectives are achieved Establish a cadence of communication and touch points with the team to ensure carrier expectations and performance metrics are clear and aligned across all team members Demonstrate business expertise and analytical skills required for managing their key performance indicators, goals and objectives, and profitability goals Qualifications: Equivalent combination of education and work-related experience: High School Diploma and 14 years of relevant experience in the related field. OR Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of relevant experience in a related field and 1 year of experience in a leadership role OR Master's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience in the related field. OR Ph.D. and 2 years of relevant experience in the related field. 5+ years leadership role preferred Servant leader with proven ability to develop high performing teams Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed environments Demonstrated track record of assessing, developing, and empowering talent Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems. Track record of taking initiative in managing multiple priorities and to work effectively under pressu e when facing extremely short deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good judgment, discretion, tact and the ability to work easily at all levels within the organization Ability to partner well with colleagues in a matrixed work environment. Ability to work independently and to undertake responsibilities with minimal guidance. Adapting approach and comfortable with ambiguity. Must be adept at handling complexity of situations and businesses. Personal qualities and style requirements include possessing high energy, enthusiasm, resilience, determination, proactiveness, relentlessness and being highly driven. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other business applications Work Environment: Occasional exposure to weather conditions, and noise. USD 70,700.00 - 106,100.00 per year Compensation: Compensation includes a base salary of $70,700.00 - $106,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
