Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer!

Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer is an integral part of the Operations Department. They work closely with the entire plant, including Pre-Production, Chemistry, Quality, R&D, NPPD, and Operations. They develop, implement, monitor, and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and workflow, for all products.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and complete technical activities for new or improved processes or designs for manufacturability.

  • Analyze and solve a range of complex problems using engineering principles.

  • Apply Customer Focused Quality principles to daily activities.

  • Interface with Quality and Development organizations to integrate new products or processes.

  • Monitor performance of equipment, machines, and tools.

  • Correct equipment problems or process parameters causing non-conforming products or low yields.

  • Create, maintain, and approve device routers and bills of materials.

  • Create, maintain, and approve manufacturing procedures and develop new processes.

  • Design, coordinate fabrication, and implement process fixturing or gauging.

  • Resolve non-conformances and participate on the Material Review Board.

  • Analyze and map processes, assess efficiency, and implement complex project activities.

  • Oversee equipment installation, modification, training, and preventative maintenance development.

  • Identify, select, and justify capital equipment.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in multiple areas of manufacturing engineering.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to Manufacturing Engineer I, II, III, and Engineering Technicians.

  • Participate in customer visits and act as a key contact for customer projects.

  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.

  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.

  • Partner with other business segments including sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.

  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly.

  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program.

Essential Skills

  • Engineering Degree (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical preferred)

  • Medical Device Manufacturing experience

  • Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement

  • CAD/CAM software

  • 2-5+ years of experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00

Typically get 3 weeks (accrue). Holiday pay right away. Benefits 1st month after they start. Profit sharing opportunity - no bonus (401K contribution) (typically up to 7%).

This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis,MN.
