Bio-Techne Manufacturing Lab Assistant in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Position Summary:

As a Lab Assistant, you will support the lab by preparing, processing, and/or finishing materials for the use in manufacturing products. You will also provide support by preparing, cleaning, and maintaining the lab and its equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get into a lab setting with a quickly growing biotechnology company!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with support duties such as filling product, labeling product, testing samples, and taking inventory

  • Maintain the lab by washing dishware, as well as cleaning and maintaining the lab and its equipment

  • Help prepare experiments and projects as needed

  • Maintain records and data as needed

  • Work closely with the lab staff to work on special projects as needed

  • Follow guidelines and comply with all company safety, quality, and training procedures and regulations

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and up to 1 year of related experience is required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required

  • Must have the ability to follow work instructions and priorities as determined by a supervisor

  • Must demonstrate flexibility to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

  • Must work well both independently and in a group setting

  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
