Qualifications for Materials To be accepted as a Materials employee, the applicant must be able to: Maintain flow of materials and supplies throughout the factory. Responsible for checking and maintaining proper inventory levels of key components and raw material. Basic computer skills. Ability to read measuring devices, use power tools, sawzall, and scale. Operate forklift/material handling equipment based on safety guidelines. Ability to communicate effectively and have moderate interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and have effective time management skills. Ability to identify the different parts and materials used in production. Strong attention to detail. Ability to read and understand directions and packing slips. Perform daily housekeeping tasks. Be adaptable enough to learn the necessary functions in a timely manner and perform them within accepted output and quality levels. Must follow standard safe practices that apply to all activities.
