Description:

• Design Engineer applies principles and techniques of mechanical engineering and analysis in designing components, systems, and mechanical functions for industrial machines.

• Designs components and systems using CAD and other computer calculation tools to satisfy project objectives

• Interacts with suppliers and operations personnel to assure components meet requirements specifications and are optimized for efficient assembly

• Assists in defining component, system and machine test plans and interprets results

• Performs engineering analysis as required to predict behavior of proposed designs and to resolve design issues

• Creates and catalogs appropriate engineering documents during design timeframe

• Provides technical support as needed to assembly lines and technical service, and may assist in troubleshooting and refinement processes

Skills:

New product development, Mechanical design, Design, Mechanical engineering

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• AAS or BSME

• 2+ years mechanical design experience

• 1+ years CREO or Pro/E
