Therapy services will be delivered at the Family Partnership's preschools in South and North Minneapolis, and within the context of classrooms at PICA Head Start preschools and La Creche Early Childhood Centers. The hours can be flexible for this role ranging from 20 hours to 37.5 hours per week. A Typical Day in the Life A typical day as The Family Partnership s Pediatric Physical Therapist provides an opportunity to provide high quality evidence based pediatric evaluations and therapy services for clients 0-6 years old. Responsibilities will include the following: Selecting, Administering, scoring, interpreting, and documenting appropriate standardized pediatric assessments. Providing quality, evidence-based Physical Therapy services within the scope of the APTA and The Family Partnership standards. Documenting plans of care and daily notes in a timely manner within APTA, DHS, MDH guidelines. Submitting daily billing through the EMR system. Managing physician orders and Progress notes to keep all client records up to date. Consulting and collaborating with interdisciplinary staff and parents. Creating Discharge/Transition plans for clients as they exit our services. Participating in conducting chart audits and parent satisfaction surveys quarterly. Who You Are You hold a Physical Therapist license at the Masters or PHD level. It is preferrable if you have previous experience in pediatrics. You have the ability to work with staff and clients from a wide range of cultures with sensitivity and respect. You have a valid driver s license, access to reliable transportation for visiting itinerant sites, and the ability to meet TFP s driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit (not applicable for new hires living out of state).
