Fairview Health Services Pharmacy Technician II -Customer Svc - Home Infusion in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Overview

Are you a registered Pharmacy Technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy? We at MHealth Fairview are looking for you to join our Kasota team located in Minneapolis! This benefit eligible position is a 1.0FTE (80 hours/2 weeks) on the day shift!

Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Phone Technician II – Home Infusion is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in a complex home infusion pharmacy. This will include answering patient calls, triaging each call to the appropriate home infusion staff member, providing an exceptional customer service experience with each interaction, working within the EHR to identify patients and their records, setting up pickups and returns, processing nursing supply orders, and supporting other teams as needed.

Responsibilities Job Description

Partner with pharmacists, nurses, and coordinators to ensure pharmacy patients receive follow up to their calls related to their medication(s), appointments, questions, or concerns in a professional and timely manner. This will include working within the EHR to complete those tasks.

Process nursing restock requests and deliver per the nurse’s request.

Working with patients and the FHI shipping team for any patient pick ups or returns to the pharmacy.

Support other home infusion teams as needed.

Qualifications

Required

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 months pharmacy technician experience, completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program OR one year of experience as a pharmacy clerk or like position within a healthcare setting.

License/Certification/Registration

  • Registered Technician with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy

Preferred

Education

  • Graduate of Pharmacy Technician program

  • Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program

Experience

  • IV Sterile compounding background

License/Certification/Registration

  • Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board

  • Sterile Compounding Certification Board
