Dorsey & Whitney Practice Group Administrative Coordinator in Minneapolis, Minnesota

We are seeking a Practice Group Administrative Coordinator in our Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City or Missoula office to provide day-to-day administrative support to the Practice Group Directors and Paralegal Manager. This newly created position will play a key role in assisting with a variety of administrative tasks for leaders of multiple practice groups across offices. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Are you detail oriented and excel at managing multiple tasks simultaneously? In this role, you will: Coordinate on behalf of assigned Practice Group Directors and Paralegal Manager with other departments and offices to execute different assignments and projects. Assist with planning and scheduling Practice Group and Paralegal meetings, including the preparation of agendas, tracking of action items, and coordinating content. Assist with updating and maintaining the content of the Practice Group s intranet pages and other resources. Assist with coordinating the onboarding and offboarding of employees, such as scheduling new hire lunches and meetings; work with Human Resources and Recruiting, as appropriate. Assist with the performance evaluation process, including sending information and reminders to paralegals and evaluators. Compile and organize evaluator comments, as needed. Work with the Practice Group Directors and Paralegal Manager to ensure timely completion of evaluations. Assist with tracking and coordinating coverage for leaves of absences and PTO requests. Assist with obtaining, reviewing, and sending financial reports of the Practice Groups and timekeepers. Assist with the facilitation, creation, maintenance, and distribution of client reports and budget tracking mechanisms. Remain current with best practices, policies, and procedures as they relate to the firm, the practice groups, and timekeepers. Collaborate with various firm departments and personnel to assist with Practice Group needs. May be requested to perform other duties as requested. Preferred: Prior experience working in a law firm.
