ERMis seeking an experiencedPrincipal Consultant Environmental Impact Assessmentwith international consulting experience in the mining sector to play a key role in growing our business.The ideal candidate will have established relationships with mining companies, along with technical expertise leading multi-media environmental and social impact assessments on large-scale mining projects. We are particularly looking for someone who has experience with overseeing international mining projects, project requiring world bank financing, and projects following IRMA or other best practice standards.As a senior leader, you will be accountable for successfully selling and consulting on a range of environmental, social, and health impact assessment projects. You will collaborate with ERM's global technical team to share best practices across the industry. This is a partner-track opportunity for a senior-level professional looking to advance their career with a global environmental leader, and to make a significant impact in successfully implementing ERM's global strategy.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and implement strategic business/action plan, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand our capital project delivery service offerings and client base in the mining industry. Serve as a key member of the mining industry team to drive double-digit profitable growth.As a seller/doer, contribute to business development of ERMs global capital project service area. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.Serve as senior resource for environmental and social impact assessment projects and related activities in support of ERM clients capital projects (i.e., mining, diversified energy, power, electrical transmission, renewable energy projects). Contribute to preparing EAs/EIS / ESIAs and associated management plans, serving in roles ranging from lead technical expert to QA/QC. Achieve clients expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of the technical team.Capitalize on existing ERM client relationships to expand ERMs profile and market share (through a combination of excellence in technical delivery and business development). Work with other ERM resources to deepen relationships with ERM key clients and establish new client relationships that result in significant net revenue growth.Support the general growth and development of ERMs international technical community. Collaborate with other ERM global practitioners to execute impact assessment projects. Participate on teams comprised of impact assessment professionals from multiple offices around the global ERM organization.REQUIREMENTS:BS/MS in environmental studies, planning, geography, civil or environmental engineering or related field; PE, PG, CEP, AICP or similar registration desired.8 years of consulting experience with impact assessment and multi-media permitting, particularly on international projects.Proven track record in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies in the energy industry.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, and book sales.Established relationships with mining companies.Solid grasp of the key impact assessment and management issues within the mining sector, as well as a high degree of technical competence and broad knowledge of impact assessment best practices.Recognized technical expertise by and established reputation in the marketplace, including positive reputation with key regulators relevant to impact assessment approvals.Well-developed teambuilding and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address client and business needs nd challenges.Positive outlook, collaborative, and driven by the success of ERM as a global company.For the Principal Consultant Environmental Impact Assessmentposition, we anticipate the annual base pay of $110,451 $126,351 USD. An employees pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, butnot limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employees fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may beeligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are NOT bonus eligible).We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life & disability insurance to benefits eligible* employees.*Benefits Eligibility is limited to Regular employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week.
