Responsibilities Description of duties and responsibilities: * Increase sales of MSA First Responder related products with a primary focus toward paid and volunteer fire department accounts and other related customers. * Develop and manage the business-to-business relationships with regional Distribution Partners to include Pinnacle Program management and distributor optimization. * Maintain active working relationships with the region s largest end-users and focus on developing and closing opportunities at Strategic fire accounts. * Develop, communicate and implement appropriate sales strategies and action plans. * Effectively communicate VOC feedback into our NPD process and to other stakeholders. * Generate sales reports and collaborate with all functional colleagues. * Promote the use of and accuracy of our CRM system with all direct reports. Utilize this resource to effectively manage and coach the sales process. * Effectively manage the regional budget and maintain cost control. * Drive key competitive conversions helping to close business more quickly and effectively. * Instill a customer-focused mindset, improving customer and distributor satisfaction. Manage and train on E-business initiatives and Customer Relationship-Management (CRM) tools. * Drive career development through delegation with assigned staff. Plan and develop others for succession opportunities and manage performance. * Manage assigned sales administration items (i.e. operations reports, action plans, operating expense management, etc.) * Manage and oversee all Region shows for most effectiveness. Qualifications Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * Demonstrated selling and account management skills, including solid negotiation skills. * Proven track record of understanding customer needs and developing solutions to assure customer satisfaction. * Proven ability to effectively manage distribution and drive to high sales and service level performance. * Demonstrated role model of company values and sales leadership. * Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal). * Strong decision making and analytical ability. * Strong organizational, attention to detail, problem solving, time management and follow-up skills. * Proven ability to grasp technical product knowledge. * Proven history of driving high standards for self and team to meet and exceed challenging goals. * Demonstrated leadership skills including ability to coach and develop team members. * Willingness to travel 30-50% domestically. Education and experience required: * Bachelor s degree in related field or educational academic equivalent. * Four years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor s degree This position is available at two different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.:This position is available at two different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.: Level one: 5 years of sales or related business experience in a related industry; experience leading sales and/or project teams. Level two: 8 years of sales or related business experience in a related industry; experience leading sales and/or project teams.
