General Mills Inc Regional Veterinary Sales Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota

OVERVIEW The Regional Veterinary Sales Manager is responsible for managing and developing a team of veterinary sales representatives dedicated to meeting and exceeding company objectives. This includes implementation of national and regional strategies for the promotion and recommendation of BLUE product lines. We are looking for candidates with demonstrated team leadership, strong presentation, and communication skills across varying audiences. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for the hiring, training, coaching and planning of efficient and effective professional team servicing the veterinary clinics. Effectively manage account coverage to delivery company goals. Support the development of new prospects and establishing customers by making sales presentations that create a demand and recommendation for company products to positively impact sales in the region. Monitor the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, meetings, sales newsletters and electronic bulletins. Heavy field coaching responsibilities of the veterinarian sales representatives while providing support to the team for day-to-day service needs of the veterinary clinic. Development of relationships and presence in the veterinary community and associated organizations. This includes attending conferences and events. Position manages assigned territory by utilizing sales plans, educational programs, and other company resources in an efficient manner. Executes the company's sales and marketing strategies through the veterinary region sales force. Examines results and adjust approach and programs to better meet customer needs and improve results within the region. Develop strong working relationship/collaboration with internal BLUE teams to achieve company objectives, including marketing, merchandising, customer insights, and operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Business related discipline 5+ years veterinary, technical, medical device, or pharmaceutical sales experience 2+ years people management or applicable leadership experience Demonstrated ability to lead a group towards meeting and exceeding objectives Strong analytical skills to effectively manage and deliver region goals Knowledgeable in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Ability to travel 35-50% PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Pet Parent Preferred ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. General Mills will not sponsor applicants for a U.S. work visa International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $106800.00 - $160300.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
