Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. Sales Account Representative in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Due to promotion, we are currently seeking a Sales Account Representative responsible for direct retail support to assigned accounts in the Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN territory (Southeast of the Twin Cities). The sales professional we seek will be responsible for product distribution, promotional activity and displays, and company point of purchase while maintaining and building upon Kemps' relationship with the customer. In addition, the position requires new account prospecting and sales calls. Kemps is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a dairy marketing cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family farmers. Since 1914, Kemps has provided families with fresh, delicious dairy products, fresh milk, frozen yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese and frozen novelty treats. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the performance of accounts within assigned territory. Respond to account challenges and opportunities while effectively balancing the needs of Kemps and the customer. Initiate and close sales calls with existing customers. Merchandise and build displays to drive incremental sales and execute promotions. Prospect and grow new business with new and existing customers. Interpret sales reports such as ranking, ACV, market share, sales movement, etc. to leverage Kemps' position. Work with managers, owners, and other key contacts to develop mutually beneficial business opportunities. Present new products and programs to increase distribution during store resets and through-out the year. Conduct store surveys and market analyses to better understand and test consumer responses to given products and markets. Participate in store openings, product demonstrations, and other related activities, to ensure that company products are appropriately represented. Resolve customer problems or concerns with pricing, credit, or collections to maintain customer satisfaction and maintain company profits. Bachelor's Degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field of study. Will consider 6-7 years of sales experience, preferably in direct consumer packaged goods in lieu of a degree. 2-3 years sales experience, preferably in direct consumer packaged goods. Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques with a proven track record of achieving distribution and volume results. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer proficiency to include MS Office Suite. Valid driver's license.
