Ameriprise Financial Scrum Master in Minneapolis, Minnesota

"Manage one or more Agile teams to ensure effective application of Agile best practices and Agile framework to project/product team backlog execution. Facilitate team ceremonies and recommend improvements to increase team efficiency. Partner with Product Owner to ensure road maps align with backlog and release plan.Key ResponsibilitiesCoach one or more Agile teams by providing effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership and support with the agile development process and the delivery of product teams. Educate on facilitation of Backlog Grooming, Collaboration Charter, Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Release planning and Retrospectives.Provide leadership and conflict resolution for Agile team members and cross commit partners to ensure business product deliverables are met. Help coach team members on best Agile practices and problem-solving using Agile principles. Remove impediments and identify potential process improvements to help team deliver at a higher level.Coach Product Owners to develop, manage, and continuously groom the team's product backlog. Partner with Product Owner to pull information for team velocity and sprint/release progress on initiatives, so that informed decisions can be made around prioritization of backlog. Assist Product Owner with reporting for how the initiatives are going pertaining to product roadmap.Work effectively with business partners, vendors, technology and Scrum Master peers to develop Agile charter and ensure agreement/adoption of product/project working agreements and goals for team.Analyze team processes and utilize team retros to coach best practices, so teams can be more efficient and effective. Keep looking for potential improvement to help team move faster.Required Qualifications3-5+ years of experience relevant experience.Demonstrated capability and understanding of Atlassian tools (Jira & Confluence).Demonstrated experience in working with medium to large-scale product initiatives to successful implementation.Effective at building relationships; highly effective communication skills that include ability to articulate information to a broad audience.Understanding of Agile best practices and experience working on an agile team for at least one year.Able to identify impediments and remove barriers impacting team.Positive and calm demeanor.Preferred QualificationsExperience working on a team as a Scrum Master.Financial industry experience a plus.About Our CompanyWe're a diversified financial services leader with more than $1 trillion in assets under management and administration as of 2022. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
