Job Description

Oversee and manage employee benefit programs, including analyzing trends, cost effectiveness, identifying efficiencies, proposing improvements to existing plans, and advising management on strategic benefit decisions, focusing on retirement plans, audits and compliance.

Manage vendor relations to ensure employee benefits plans and programs are meeting participants' needs. Participate in vendor reviews, RFPs, designing and implementing new programs, and replacing old programs where necessary.

Monitor, report, evaluate best practices and competitiveness of benefits plans. Analyze benefit plan offerings and costs.

Respond to HR, participant, vendor, and agency questions in a timely and efficient manner. Educate employees and HR on benefits options, initiatives, systems, and tools. Partner with businesses to ensure benefits plans assist with employee recruitment and retention.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Administer and oversee retirement plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and optimizing plan performance.

  • Conduct thorough compliance checks and audits, particularly for retirement plans, retiree medical, workers’ compensation, non-discrimination testing, wellbeing and time off Plans.

  • Perform SPD (Summary Plan Description) reviews to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of benefits plans.

  • Partner in annual ACA reporting and required monthly updates/audits.

  • Develop program and policies to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Basic Qualifications (BQs)

  • Bachelor’s and 3 years of experience or HS/GED and 7 years' of experience

    Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Preferred 5 years' of experience managing employee benefits

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data

  • Knowledge of relevant benefit regulations and compliance requirements

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, human resources, or related field

  • Experience managing benefits in India and/or Canada

  • SHRM and/or CEBS Designation

Additional Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
