Working closely with the Data Lake engineers to provide technical guidance, consultation, and resolution of their queries. Provides input and guides the business unit in determining the best solutions and system requirements for their specific needs Key Responsibilities Work with and across technology, data, and business intelligence teams to execute project plans according to objectives and timelines. Develop, implement, and optimize data processing in SSIS packages and stored procedures Understands the business processes and the interdependencies of various systems. Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements Provides systems support reporting and analytic projects. Gather data and analyze problems across projects to initiate strategic transformation. Participates in the code reviews of the developed modules and applications. Make recommendations to meet client or business objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or similar field 5 to 7 years relevant experience Sound fundamentals of database concepts and experience with relational or non-relational database Knowledge of fundamental AWS services, applications, and best practices for AWS architecture Understanding of T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server Experience with the core AWS services - Athena, lambda and other RDS services Ability to learn, understand and apply technology as it relates to the business. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of strong experience in big data/data lake development Experience working cross-organizationally with both business and technology groups Advanced skills using SQL, SSRS, Power BI, and SSIS
